Each of us would like to study at prestigious University which represents high level of education.

Particular prestige and education standard is usually presented in various rankings. However, it's not worth paying much attention on it, because everyone has already heard about the most popular Universities and Colleges. It doesn’t matter that much whether each School is positioned at 5th or 7th place on the list, since the education standard is being shaped through dozens of years. For this reason, if You consider rankings results, you should definitely trace the last 3 or 4 years in order to get to know the real University’s position.

State and Private Universities are usually the ones who take active part in the rankings. However, the state higher education institutions are on higher positions than the public ones. It is the result of greatness and long-lasting existence, combined with rich history and traditions. Furthermore, it should be emphasized that nowadays some Private Universities, even if quite new ones, are often superior to State Universities.

As far as one can tell, if we choose State University (stationery studies), we won’t have to pay fees in contrast to Private Universities, where everyone is obliged to pay tuition fees. However, if you choose non stationery studies at State University, you mustn’t ignore the fact of payments, too.

Either State and Private Universities offer an opportunity for scholarships for the most talented students, but we should pay attention that scholarships amounts are often higher at Private Universities than at the State ones. Moreover, the amount of scholarship also depends on studies specialization.

Depending on the type of studies, classes take place during the day (stationery studies), or during the weekend (on Saturday and Sunday, every 2 weeks, around 9 hours per day) in case of non-stationery studies. While studying during the weekends, every student has a chance to work during the week.

Apart from stationery and non-stationery studies, there is a possibility to choose night classes, but there are less courses available.
