How to make money for your studies?

„Job and studies are two separate worlds, which are mutually exclusive”- plenty of students are convinced that this proverb is true.

How would it be possible to earn money while the most of time is spent for studying or taking active part in classes and seminaries at University?

However, it is not so tough for students who try to do their best in order to the test their determination.

First of all, there is a chance to get student loan, where potential University’s student can receive approximately 600 zloty(150 euro) per month. This amount of money can cover part of the studying and living costs. This loan is granted at on favorable conditions (low percentage). In practice,it means that half of percentage is been paid by government and you don’t have to start paying this loan off immediately after graduation from University.

You have couple of years to start doing it. It also happens that part of this loan is definitely canceled.

The deadline for submitting motions (application forms) to Students Loan Funds Office is 15th of November every year. This initiave was brought into living by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK).

Secondly, it is also possible to gain scholarship (see the article: „Grab opportunity for scholarship!”) which is available at almost every University. It is sort of financial support, worth to take advantage of. Therefore, every student gains monthly income and in a case of Scientific scholarship, also a „positive opinion” about his/hers ability to study. The amount of these scholarships depends on the University and even its faculties.

There is an opportunity of gaining it for the whole studying time, but the necessary condition is submitting all documents at the beginning of the year.

Furthermore, indigent students can count on getting additional scholarship,but they have to come up to the expectations such as low family income. Any other information is available in chosen University’s Dean Office.

The other way to get money for students, is off-and-on work. It is enough to spend couple of hours on it, while having time free of classes or weekends and earn enough to survive. Working during the weekends is also possible, it can be giving private lessons, order printing, distribute leaflets and many others. Furthermore, going on vacation in order to work abroad gives an opportunity to earn money for the whole academic year.
