Higher School of Labour Protection Management in Katowice was created in 2002 and it is entered into the register of non-public universities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The mission of the School is educating leaders of labour humanisation in relations of man-labour-environment for organisation of the labour market. As the first school in Poland it created engineering studies in answer to the increasing demand for experts in the field of safety and hygiene at work.
Quality of teaching and curricula of studies have three times been positively evaluated by the State Accreditation Committee, also 4 times awared by the RELIABLE SCHOOL certificate.
From march 2011, thefre were 2 new faculties opened: Faculty of Technical sciences and Faculty of Humane and Social sciences.
WSZOP covers 5 fields of studies offering the degree of bachelor or engineer and one field of studies offering master’s degree. Students may choose among 22 specialties.
Apart from engineering studies, we also offer management, culture studies, internal safety and English language studies. Education at WSZOP is also supported with professional computer courses and on line classes conducted through e learning methodology.

The main building and other didactic buildings are located in the center of Katowice. we provide with the most modern and computer technical laboratories, internet access and wifi.
The scholarships and awards
- Immutable fees through the whole academic year, guaranteed by the agreement
- Exams, free of charge (also the second attempts, commission ones as well as graduation exams)
- August and July - holiday months - free of charge
- Possibility to pay the fees monthly
- Discounts for students:
- 70% for studying at the second course
- 10% for graduates from our school who started studying again
- 10% for 2nd degree studies (master) for our graduates
- 10% - postgraduate studies for our graduates
- 5% family discount for: students whose family members (brother, sister, wife, husband, mother, father) also study at our school - the whole period of studying simultanously will be taken into consideration

Studies and International projects
WSZOP conducts international studies with L’Universite Paris-Nord 13 at Health Service Organizations management. studies are partly funded by EU.

The Academic Careers Office WSZOP helps students with safe entering the job market. They cooperate with many institutions both in silesia and whole Poland.

ABK also organizes the vocational scholarships, which cna be the first opportunity to gain the experience for our students. The internships offer is various, adjusted to the specialization needs.
Library
The library with 14 modern databases, the special cabin for multimedia listening and internet access to the catalogues from any palce all over the world. WSZOP has also its own publishing house (academic books, science notebooks, science technical notebooks and cultural studies magazine).
Students life
Our students are the active people, interested in the world and the unviersity is not only the place for studying but also for leisure.
During last years, our students organized and also attended the meeting with famour people from all over the world of literature, film, theatre, journalism and politics (Magda Piekorz, Kazimierz Kutz, Jan Peszek, Ernest Bryll, Artur Domosławski, Jacek Skorus, Dagmara Drzazga).
The exhibitions and culture days were organized(Chinese, Spanish Days), opened lectures, contests, students music and theatre performances.
WSZOP studenta are also eager to have fun - annual picninc in may are organized where all school community is integrating became a tradition.
They use every opportuntiy to play together : carnival, graduation parties are the ebst examples of it.
