State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sacz

State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sacz is a state school, established in 1998 on the basis of Ministry's decision.

Good location in the city with population of 85 000 provides with good studying conditions, comfortable transport and friendly backgrounds.

Stationary (daily) are free of charge and last, depending on the course - 3 or 3,5 years (Engineer). Moreover, our school conducts studies in non stationary system as well as postgraduate studies and training courses. The Academic teachers include professors, PHD, doctors, master. Administrative staff are always ready to support students and satisfy their requirements.

The School structure is based on 6 units called Institutes:

Institute of Health, Institute of technology, Institute of pedagogy, Institute of physical education, Institute of foreign languages, Institute of Economics. Each one has got the residence in the building, adjusted to the lectures, laboratories. Didactic facilities include lecture halls, laboratories, sport halls, swimming pool, tennis pitches. Students take the advantage from the elctronical system of reservations and lendings in library. Those who are not locals, can apply for the dormitory which has been renovated and is located in the centre of the city.

Every room has got the Internet Access.

Graduate will receive the Bachelor Diploma (IE, IJO, IKF, IP and IZ) or engineer (IT), which is the 1st science degree in 3 levels education system.

While studying, there will be an internships, related directly to the course specialization and specification.

Gained qualifications and the Dipploma create the possibility to work in chosen domain but also let students continue studies at Master studies. Both students and graduates can use the opportunity to take part in the Careers Office support - they offer jobs and various trainings as well as helping with job market entering.

Nowy Sącz is the district city with Grodzki Region Law, in Małopolskie’s province. It used to be the capital of Nowosadeckie’s Province till 1998. During the years: 1973 - 1977, this city used to be the residence of Nowy Sącz country borough. Currently it is 3rd city in terms of population number and 5th in terms of the area on the list of Małopolskie’s cities. Significant communication junction as well as the main touristic centre os Sadecka Land. Moreover, one of the oldests cities in Małopolska - established in 1292.

All candidates are obliged to register on-line in special system called ERK, it will be launched on:

from 30th of May till 22nd of July 2011 at courses excluded from preliminary examinations

from 30th of May till 18th of July at courses included in preliminary examinations in the Institute of Pedagogy

from 30th of May till 20th of July at courses included in preliminary examinations in the Institute of Physical Education

Recruitment process at the State Higher Vocational School in Nowy Sacz is conducted in 2 levels, as the basic recruitment and 2nd round recruitment.

The second one is opened only in case of not enough student applications.

The on line registration of candidates is obligatory. They have to fill in the application form, found on our website and then printing it out and submitting to the Recruitment Commission.

In case that student applies for more than 1 course, the recruitment fee has to be done separately, according to the principles approved by the Dean.

Recruitment is held by the Institutional Recruitment Commissions on the basis of the High School Diploma, while at the teaching courses – we also require the preliminary exams which will confirm additional skills and predisposition to teach.

• Original (duplicate) of the High School Diploma
• ID Photocopy
• Documents confirming that candidate is the winner of the competitions (information about this in Polish resolution Nr 15/2010 of the senate from 23.04.201. in case of accepting the winners – the bookmarks called: DLA KANDYDATA),
• Medical certificate written by the doctor for the courses: Nursing and Medical Rescue as well as the teaching studies
• Certificate from the speech therapist which confirms no obstacles for teaching – related to those who applied for teaching courses
• 4 photos in size of 35 mm x 45 mm, with no headgear, light background
• Registration fee payment
• Candidates who applied for nursing course (non stationary studies) are obliged to submit the Medical High School Diploma with nursing specialization

Attention:

Candidates who were accepted for the 1st year in the Institute of Health, are obliged to submit documents listed below:

• stationary and non stationary studies:
  • Health Book with valid examinations
  • triple excrement examination (HIV) documentation
  • Vaccination documentation
• non stationary studies
  • Documentation showing the professional experience gaining, including the type of working place and the position name as well as the working period.
  • Documents confirming graduation in field of Nursing photocopy

Additional recruitment policy will be obligatory for those who applied for the courses listed below:

1. Art Education within Fine Arts: drawing and painting examination
2. Pedagogy (all specialization apart from: Cultural-Education Work: the examination of musical talents, divided into 4 tasks related to musical memory, rhythm, pace, hearing (repeating melody). In case of lack of musical talent, candidate will be rejected
3. Physical education: physical ability exam which includes: swimming, gymnastics, team games (2 to choose from: football, handball, basketball, volleyball). Lack of skills in playing cases that the candidate will be rejected in the recruitment process. The speaking disability will cause immediate rejection.
