The University has been established on 1st of November 2001, combined from the Pedagogy College in Rzeszow, the Maria Curie Sklodowska University (MCSU) in Lublin and The Faculty of Economy at the Agriculture Academy in Krakow. Education is conducted at 12 Faculties: Faculty of Economy, Faculty of Language studies, Faculty of Math and Economics, Faculty of medicine, Faculty of pedagogy and art, Faculty of Law and administration, Faculty of History and Sociology, Faculty of art, Faculty of physical education, Faculty of biotechnology (non stationary) and International Institute of Philosophy.
Students have the possibility to develop their interests within the field of 56 science organizations, which are located in the school area.
We are the sponsor of many events, cooperating with the „Resovia Saltans” Dance Band, Chamber Choir and Students Clubs.
Due to the fact that our location is very convenient - our University is in touch with many international Universities. It's a cultural and intellectual connection between Ukraine and united Europe. The University in Rzeszow constantly cooperates with 61 other international Universities in a form of students exchanges, conferences and science camps organization. Next, within the framework of Erasmus program - our students can go and study abroad for 1 or 2 semesters and choose from 67 European universities.
In academic year 2011/2012, students can pick from 40 courses (stationary and non- stationary studies, Bachelor and Master studies). We also offer 3rd degree studies: PhD - archeology, history, Literature studies, sociology.
The Sociology and History Department commission is entitled to give the post doctoral degrees in field of History. It is also possible to gain the title of Physics and Biology Doctor.
1,220 Academic teachers, including over 220 professors and doctors as well as 555 PhD entitled is the crew who shares knowledge with over 22,000 students. Next, over 4,000 students educate themselves and gain additional knowledge at postgraduate studies.
