University of Rzeszow

The University has been established on 1st of November 2001, combined from the Pedagogy College in Rzeszow, the Maria Curie Sklodowska University (MCSU) in Lublin and The Faculty of Economy at the Agriculture Academy in Krakow. Education is conducted at 12 Faculties: Faculty of Economy, Faculty of Language studies, Faculty of Math and Economics, Faculty of medicine, Faculty of pedagogy and art, Faculty of Law and administration, Faculty of History and Sociology, Faculty of art, Faculty of physical education, Faculty of biotechnology (non stationary) and International Institute of Philosophy.

Students have the possibility to develop their interests within the field of 56 science organizations, which are located in the school area.

We are the sponsor of many events, cooperating with the „Resovia Saltans” Dance Band, Chamber Choir and Students Clubs.

Due to the fact that our location is very convenient - our University is in touch with many international Universities. It's a cultural and intellectual connection between Ukraine and united Europe. The University in Rzeszow constantly cooperates with 61 other international Universities in a form of students exchanges, conferences and science camps organization. Next, within the framework of Erasmus program - our students can go and study abroad for 1 or 2 semesters and choose from 67 European universities.

In academic year 2011/2012, students can pick from 40 courses (stationary and non- stationary studies, Bachelor and Master studies). We also offer 3rd degree studies: PhD - archeology, history, Literature studies, sociology.

The Sociology and History Department commission is entitled to give the post doctoral degrees in field of History. It is also possible to gain the title of Physics and Biology Doctor.

1,220 Academic teachers, including over 220 professors and doctors as well as 555 PhD entitled is the crew who shares knowledge with over 22,000 students. Next, over 4,000 students educate themselves and gain additional knowledge at postgraduate studies.

About City

Rzeszów is the seat of the Rzeszów County, capital city of podkarpackie voivodship and the rzeszowska diocese. Rzeszów constitutes a municipal county and is a seat of the Rzeszów district county.

The city serves as the main administrative, industrial, service and trade, academic and cultural centre in South-Eastern Poland. There are an international airport and Podkarpacki Scientific and Technological Park, which is directed at high-technology industry, located in Rzeszów. In the city there are two state universities: University of Rzeszów (with 11 faculties) and Technical University of Rzeszów, as well as a few private ones, i.e. University of Information Technology and Management, which is one of the biggest non-public universities in the country.

In the capital city of Podkarpacie Region there are three consular offices (Federal Republic of Germany, Slovak Republic and the Ukraine). Rzeszów is a member of the Union of Polish Metropolises and the Eurocities Association, which gathers big European cities together.

In Rzeszów there are about 60 thousand students. There are both state and private universities there. In the nearest future, the graduates of universities in Rzeszów will have the opportunity to realise their ideas in pre-incubator, connected with the Technological Park.

The club is located at the floor level and air-conditioned. There are two parking lots in its direct neighbourhood. It is possible to rent rooms (about 10 metres from the club). Modern sound and lightning devices as well as student-friendly climate help to achieve high popularity and unique atmosphere of the parties organised by the Association of Students and Alumni of the University of Rzeszów.
