Szczecin University is the biggest University on the Western Coast in Poland. Currently, over 30 000 students educate themselves at this dynamic school. Moreover, we have around 2800 post graduate students and 330 Phd students.
Szczecin University is a member ofthe European University Association (EUA).
It consists of 10 faculties:

- Faculty of Geosciences

- Faculty of Administration in Jarocin
Wihin the framework of these 10 faculties, 7 non-stationary didactic centres (Choszczno, Dębno, Gorzów Wlkp., Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, Wałcz, Świnoujście), dozens of departments, dozens of institutes and laboratories, we make research in field of humanistic, theological, law, economical and nature sciences.
Szczecin University also offers 6 extraordinary Units:

Currently, students have the opportunity to educate at 37 courses and specializations.
There are also 85 postgraduate courses. Our students are associated in over 100 students circles, 500 of them are members of Academic Sport Association. There is academic theatre, Cultural Centre and an Orchestra „Academia”. Students publish the newspapers in Internet: „Teka”, „LexUS”, „Kontekst”, „Esse”.
We own 5 dormitories with over 1 800 places for students. Mostly, these are rooms for 1 or 2 people, adapted for disabled people needs, too.
The Recctors of Szczecin University were: prof. zw. dr hab. Kazimierz Jaskot (1985–1989), prof. zw. dr hab. Tadeusz Wierzbicki (1989–1993), prof. zw. dr hab. Hubert Bronk (1993–1999), prof. zw. dr hab. Zdzisław Chmielewski (1999–2005). The current Rector is prof. zw. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński.
Szczecin University is young, 25 years old University, which has already been successful in many fields. During 2 years, we gained over 20 mln zł from European Union Funds.
We also got 15th position in NEWSWEEK ranking of the best Universities in Poland in 2005.
We cooperate with 24 European Schools and with 55 Universities within the framework of Life Learning Programme, Erasmus and with Polish Universities in MOST Programme. We have 144 foreign students and 23 of our students went for International Internships.
During every academic year, over 500 employees go for conferences, consultations and international meetings.
